In thesis, your COMBO Drive is ready to use, but you need an extension USB cable to connect it on PC. Use a small cable in order to keep it inside the ALTOIDS can.

You might be interested in trying something like this with the Kingston Mini Fun drives, like the ones use in this instructable. (It's the purple one.)
They are much more compact, and you could probably get more in a single case. Or be able to fit them and the usb hub in the case at the same time, since they're so small. 1 inch outside of the case, and the card isn't exposed.
