Introduction: Candle Holder

Hello guys. So, this instructable is really easy and will take no time to design and make a candle holder.

We will learn how to make a box and then add some pattern to each side of it then cut it and assemble it using the laser cutter machine.

Lets get started.

Note: This project was made in FABLAB Dhahran by Jafar Alobaid.

Step 1: Requirements

For this project we will need:

  • Wood for laser cutting. (3mm thickness)
  • Glue gun.
  • A candle.

and we will cut it using the laser cutter machine.

Step 2: Design

For the box design I just used http://www.makercase.com/ to help me generating the template. The dimensions of the box I made is 10x10x10 cm.

Note:

  • Make sure to select the right materiel thickness.
  • To add the patterns to each side of the box I just this website and downloaded the shape I liked.
  • Using inkscape I copied and pasted the shape to each side of the box.
  • Attached with this step the design I made.

Step 3: Final Product

After cutting all the part by the laser cutter, I used the glue gun to glue all the faces together. Using paper tape will help you a lot during assembly.

'

and that's it , I hope you like it :)
