Candy Corn Cheesecake

Try this delightful candy corn cheesecake for your next holiday party! I'll even show you how to make your own special pan out of stuff you have around the house.

While candy corn may only be available around Halloween, this no-bake cheesecake can be made all year round. Even though it tastes like cheesecake, each slice looks like one giant candy corn - which is even better in my opinion. But if you really want it to taste like candy corn, try adding a ton of corn syrup - I bet that would work!

1 pint heavy whipping cream

The idea is to create three separate rings to pour your filling into. If you can find containers or cans that are the right size to begin with, then awesome. I could not.

I cut apart my plastic containers and overlapped them until I felt they were the right sizes.

Then I clipped them together with a small binder clip while I secured the edges with packing tape.

You can also buy what's known as a "checkerboard pan" which does the same thing, but it's like $30, and c'mon, this is Instructables, man!

I just did this today for dessert, without the food colorant and with a regular crean cheese mixed with the one that says it's 1/3 less fat or whatever, and I'm waiting to be able to take it out from the freezer, it's been there since noon and is now 4pm, let's see...I'll post a pic, if the taste is successful, btw, thanks scoochmaroo for this no bake recipe! :D
Neufchatel cheese (the type of cream cheese that says it is 1/3 less fat) isn't normally a good idea when using it for cheesecake because it drips a clear liquid. I've never mixed it with regular cream cheese. I would really like to know how yours turned out.

Dang! I needed this 3 weeks ago!!
I have an annual pie fest every year on my birthday. I could have totally won the prettiest with this one!!!
...bookmarking it....write a poem that will remind me to pull it out next year...put it in google docs with an alert for next year...gosh, technology just make everything easier (this is where that sarcasm button would come in re-e-al handy).

Beautiful pie..... think I am definitely keeping your recipe, even if I don't do the Candy Corn. Great job kiddo! I have tried or should say I did similar with a Portuguese Cream Pie. I had to do mine in three batches and I had to measure with water for each container first and then put it together in three separate stages because of the gelatin setting so fast. It took a lot of patience for me...... I have never made many different pies, so I was proud of myself. Also with my cream pie, I had to take the mold out after the outside set up and do the same for the center........ does that make sense? I must try your recipe next time, it seems so much easier.

This. Is. AWESOME!!!!! I ditto zurichko's feelings about candy corn but LOVE cheesecake as well. I may not get out much, but this is probably the most exciting and practical instructable I've come across. Thank you!!!!!
Great idea on coloring the filling in stages. I was trying to figure out how to calculate how much of each color I would need, but then read what you did. SO much easier.

Great idea, though honey might give it more of a candy corn flavor.
