Candy Orange Turkey

This is an edible turkey craft. It is a perfect Thanksgiving treat for lunches, party favors, or centerpieces. It only requires a few simple ingredients:
1 bag of mini colored marshmallows
1 large gumdrop
1 orange
Toothpicks

Step 1:

Place orange on its flattest surface. This will be used to simulate the body of a turkey.

Step 2:

Poke a toothpick through the center of a mini marshmallow. Slide the marshmallow down the toothpick leaving 1/2 inch at one end of the toothpick. Put 3 additional marshmallows on the toothpick in a similar manner so that they touch each other. This will be used to simulate a feather.

Step 3:

Repeat step 2 for six total feathers.

Step 4:

Poke one feather on the side of the orange towards the top. This is the back side of the turkey. Fan the remaining feathers as shown in the picture. This is to simulate the turkey's tail.

Step 5:

Poke a gumdrop on the top of a toothpick. This is the head of the turkey.

Step 6:

Stick head in the orange on the opposite side of the feathers as seen in the picture. You have now completed the candy orange turkey. Now it can be used to add a special treat to your holiday.
