Introduction: Canned Caterpillar

In this instructable you will be making a canned caterpillar.

You will need:

- Three small cans,

- Pliers,

- 1 mm thick metal wire

- Hammer,

- and Nails.

Step 1: Bend the Sharp Ends With Pliers

Bend the sharp ends with pliers as shown in the photo.

Step 2: Make Holes for Nostrils With Hammer and Nails

Hammer in the nail to make the two holes.

Step 3: Make Holes for Legs With Hammer and Nails

Hammer in the nail to make the six holes.

Step 4: Make Holes for Wire Connectors and Tail With Hammer and Nails

Hammer in the nail to make five holes. Four for the two connectors and one for the tail.

Step 5: Widen All Holes by Inserting and Spinning Scissors

Do this step slowly. Do not press hard with the scissors. Otherwise you might cut yourself.

Please be careful with the scissors!

Step 6: Press on All Holes With Pliers

This will make the sculpture more safer to hold with all the sharp bits pressed down to the surface of the can.

Step 7: Make the Legs

Cut the metal wire with pliers into three pieces to the length of one's hand.

Insert the wire pieces through the holes into the three cans as shown in the second photo.

Twist the wire as shown in third and fourth photos.

The last photo shows what you will have at the end of this step.

Step 8: Make the Nostrils

Cut the metal wire to the length of the diameter of the can.

Insert the metal wire as shown in the second photo.

Twist the metal wire as shown in the third and fourth photo.

Press on the metal wire with pliers to make it tight.

Step 9: Make the Tail

Cut the metal wire to the length of the diameter of the can.

Insert and twist the metal wire as shown in the second photo.

Press on the metal wire with pliers to make it tight.

Step 10: Connect the 3 Cans

Cut the metal wire to the length of the diameter of the can.

Insert and twist as shown in the last photo and you are done :-)
