There are plenty of instructables out there about making a capacitive stylus, so why choose this?
In this instructable you only need things that any ordinary person has in their house. No more dealing with $100 slime thats only available from a remote island in south africa, just plain, household junk.

Step 1: Materials

You will need

- Pencils

- A file

- The lid of a margarine tub or similar lid

- A small mixing bowl ( Aprox. 1 cup )

- Something to mix with

- Something to be the shaft of your stylus

- Craft glue

- A knife

- A candle

- A drill bit (Preferably with a drill)

Step 2: Get Your Graphite, Make Your Powder

Use the knife to split the wood of the pencil, then collect the pieces of graphite. Do this with at least two pencils, but you can always open more if you need to.

Once you have a reasonable pile of graphite bits, start shaving them against the file. Make sure the resulting powder gets collected in your margarine lid. your going to need it. Also try not to breathe to much of it... probably bad for you...

Step 3: Collect Dust

Keep filing down graphite until you gave a pile about the size of a grape.

Step 4: Prepare Your Mold

Put your powder aside for now and find a candle. Make sure it is one your mom doesn't want because your going to destroy it. Mine was too tall so I cut it in half.

Next pull out the wick if it's in your way, and carefully drill a hole in your candle. The hole should be as deep as you want the capacitive part of the stylus to be, then 3/4 of a centimetre deeper. The hole I made was about 3 cm deep. The width of the hole should be a few millimetres wider than what you are using as the shaft go your stylus.

Step 5: Clean Up Your Hole

~ If you are not used to working with heat please have an adult help with this step ~

Grasp a smooth straight nail in your pliers and carefully use a lighter to heat the nail. Don't over heat the nail or it will melt your wax. Lightly rub the nail around the insides of the candle hole.

The goal here is to make the inside of the hole as smooth as possible, and to make sure there isn't spare wax from the drill left in the hole.

Step 6: Make Your Stylus Goop

once your mold is ready, measure out 1 tablespoon of powder. If you have a little more or less thats fine but if you have substantially more, save it for a second stylus. Pour your tablespoon of dust into your mixing cup and add a squeeze of white craft glue.

Step 7: Mix Your Goop

using a small stir stick (I used a popsicle stick because I had just eaten a popsicle), stir the glue evenly into the powder. Add a little more glue every time the powder refuses to continue being absorbed. You know your goop is ready once you don't need to add any more glue, and the powder is all absorbed.

Step 8: Get Your Goop Into Your Mold

Fill your mold about half way with goop, you don't want it full because you still need to stick the shaft of your stylus in too. Your goop is going to be very thick so your going to have to find out what works for you.

As mentioned above, the next step will be getting your stylus shaft* in the mold and making sure the goop evenly surrounds it. Be sure not to push your stylus all the way to the bottom of the hole, leave a few millimetres room.

*READ FIRST
If you are using something non-conductive as the shaft of your stylus you will need to be touching the goop port of the stylus for it to work, so make the hole deeper if needed.

Step 9: Let It Dry

Let your mold sit overnight, then carefully break the wax and pick all the wax residue out of your stylus.

You now have a cheap capacitive stylus!

*remember, if the shaft of your stylus is not a conductive metal, you will need to make sure you are always touching the goop.
