Introduction: Carve a Adam's Apple Fridge Magnet

About: I am disabled and walk on a cane , but try and live life to the fullest ( or foolishness ) since my antics most time end up with me in bed on ice for a few days

Carve a wooden Adam's apple fridge magnet.

Step 1: What You Will Need.

What you need
soft wood about 2.5 x2 inches for each, Jelutong works well http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jelutong_%28tree%29

A sharp pocket knife or a hobby knife or even a home made knife or chisel
band saw or coping saw

band-aids as needed

Step 2: Step 1

Cut the wood to an apple shape, or copy the one shown.

Also, mark your stem and leaf.

Step 3: Step 2

Make stop cuts. A stop cut is just a cut in the wood to stop your knife/chisel from cutting past your mark

Step 4: Step 3

Slice on a angle to your stop cuts on the leave and stem round them over.

Round the apple over with your knife or chisel , keep your hand out of the way this part is where you will get cut

Step 5: Step 4

I mark what I want off with a crayon , you will cut all the way to center

When you think it is rounded enough stop , I like to leave as little edge as I can on it

Step 6: Step 5

I don't sand these before I paint them just add the paint and leave the knife marks in for a better look

Paint it red then green for the leave and brown for the stem , use a tooth pick to touch up your paint

Step 7: Step 6

Add a magnet to the back. Use a drop of super/hot glue.

Step 8: Finished.

You're done. If for a teacher add her/his name in black ink. Otherwise, just put it on your refrigerator.

Step 9: Afterthoughts.

I shoulda' bought more band-aids.

You need to make it smaller, and carve it on both sides for earrings ,drill the stem and add string or earring clip ,you can add a pin so they can wear it on a shirt

You can carve it on both sides for a neckless.
