Introduction: Easy Catapult

How to make an easy catapult from stuff you might have in your house.
This should only take about 5 minutes to make in case you were wondering.

Sorry but I wont be able to get pictures up any time soon I can't find my camera cord...

This is my first 'ible.

I might upload photos soon

Step 1: Materials

Things you will need

.Cork (marker cap, glue stick cap will also work)
.Plastic Spoon (spork may be used as a substitute)
.Cardboard
.Hot Glue Gun
.A Couple of Hot Glue Gun Sticks
.A Pencil (pen may be used also)

Step 2: The Base

The base of the catapult I made holds the whole structure and keeps the cork and the spoon form flying off some where. The base is made up of two sheets of 1 mm thick cardboard. The cardboard should be cut up into two rectangular pieces of cardboard a little bigger than an index card. The size of my base is six inches long and 3 inches wide. After you have your two cardboard pieces you should put glue (I used hot glue) on one of the cardboard pieces and smash 'em together and wait for the glue to dry.

Step 3: The Cork

As the picture should plain the cork can be placed a couple inches before the middle or maybe on the middle. It would help a lot more if you would hold the spoon against the cork and try and find the spot to put the cork that would work best with you. After you've found the spot to place your cork you should mark it with a pencil, and put hot glue (make sure you don't put to much hot glue) where you marked the spot and put the cork on the hot glue and wait for it to dry.

Step 4: Throwing Arm

The throwing arm of the catapult is going to be made from a simple plastic spoon.
What you need to do is you need to take the base you made in step 3 and lay the spoon against it and try to find the spot that seems to be just right for launching projectiles. Once you find the right spot you should take your hot glue gun and smear hot glue on the plastic spoon. The throwing arm needs to be placed over the cork, it should be able to bend back back to the edge of the base.

Step 5: The Ammo

For the ammo that is launched by the Catapult you can use almost anything smaller then the throwing arms basket thing. What I used was pieces of crayons, paper wads, sunflower seeds, grapes, bbs or dice maybe even rice.

Step 6: Replacing Throwing Arm

Materials
.Spoon (spork)
.Hot Glue Gun
.Hot Glue Gun Stick
.Knife (scraper)

Well my throwing arm (spoon) broke a day after i finished my catapult. So i scraped off the glue that surrounded the old throwing arm, with a knife, and placed the new throwing arm where the old one was and hot glued the new one on. I'm pretty sure this step doesnt need a picture.
