Cell Phone Stand made of legos

So, as my first instructable, I would like to thank you for checking out my account, and these instructions on how to build a cell phone stand out of legos.
First off, you would obviously need a couple of legos:

1 12x12 block piece
16 2x2 block pieces
7 3x2 pieces
8 4x2 pieces 
2 6x2 pieces
1 12x1

Step 1 Building the first part

I have decided to make the pictures look lopsided so it can give you a better picture of the product you are making.

Step 1: place all of the 2x2 parts like the picture shown below.
Then, use all of the 4x4 parts to make it like a staircase-like structure. This helps to balance the cell phone.
