Chalk Board Card

There is a new product out on the market that I want to try, and since I need to make my Valentine for my Hubby, I thought this might be a good time to try it.  It’s called Chalk Board Vinyl, and I love it.  So this is how I used it to create a Card for my Hubby for Valentines.

Step 1:

Supplies:
Chalk Board Vinyl ($8 for 18” x 57”or 0.46m x 1.47m, I used a coupon)
1 sheet 8.5” x 11” (22cm x 28cm) white cardstock ($0.50 each)
White vinyl
Transfer tape
Computer with “Sure Cuts Alot” (They lost the law suit to Provo Craft)
Cricut Expression
Cutting mat
Bone folder
Scissors
Vinyl weeding tool (not shown)
Chalk (not shown)
Chalk eraser (not shown)
Ruler (not shown)

I love chalk board art and have been trying to figure out how to do it with my poor penmanship (and without cringing when i think of the fingernail sound effect).

This is so clever and I will give it a try on my sillhouette. Do you have a source for (inexpensive?) chalkboard contact paper?

I got my 18 inch x 57 inch roll , by Imagination Station, at Hobby Lobby for $7.99 (I just checked the package) and I used a 40% off coupon I got at www.hobbylobby.com. So it cost $4.79 for the roll. I have already used some to make labels for storage jars. Love it. Your sillhouette will work great. If I didn't already have an Expression, I would have a sillhouette. Love my Cricut.
