I made this for my cockatiel Argett and he loved it! When I was making it though, my mum and dad kept staring at me like wtf? They had no idea what I was doing.

Using Mylar icicles for a bird toy isn't a very good idea. Cockatiels and other small hookbills can and will bite pieces off of that stuff and its not digestible. Using this might hurt or kill them. As a general rule of thumb, you make bird toys out of natural materials and strings/rope made of hemp/cotton.

Agreed. Plastic can be ok if you are SURE they can't digest it, like really think and STRONG plastic. Straws and mylar? I would NEVER use something like this for my babies.

I agree with NikonDork on this being a really bad idea. Think of birds as little babies. They put anything in their mouth and often eat nonfood items, and intentionally giving them bits of plastic and glue is just unacceptable. Their digestive tract can get tangled up, they can choke, or get stings wrapped around their little toes. Remember, just because your bird isn't the type to eat weird things doesn't mean that all birds are like that. Not everyone is a responsible bird owner and knows this.

i have 3 bird, they are free to go where they want in my house(no cage). they have a corner just for them, and they stay there. some time they go play with my dog or they go eat his food. I hope they will like this toy. they like hair, so why not?
