Instructables
This instructable will show you how to keep your pets watered on the cheap, as well as help clean up your house! This recycling water bowl will stop pets that like to splash water all over the floor in order to get "fresh" water!

If your pets are anything like ours, they are finicky and won't drink water unless it's "fresh". This was how we didn't buy one of those expensive Made in China set-ups.

What you'll need:
Large water container - this one is from a local grocery
Aquarium pump - sized to fit your water container
Water
Electrical outlet

found the filter for $6 on sale, the container for a buck at a thrift store. I like this filter because it only requires 2" of water to function and the flat bottom is more stable than other styles for this design. the top isn't covered, but I'm sure I can fix that. The filter attaches with a suction cup and is a bit wobbly, so I may add a zip tie around the filter and through the container. Tried the water jug design but wanted a more sturdy container. This is great! I'm still searching for the perfect container. Best part, the cat uses it!

This is great! I just posted one myself for the same reasons. I like the ability to filter the water. Mine recirculates but not the greatest filtering. What did the aquarium filter cost?

I like it. Simple. Which filter do you use so I don't make another mistake?

A ten gallon filter did not work for me on another project and I am not sure if it was the brand or the volume.

Thnk you
