You could use banana leaves to simulate incredible marquetry designs since they is easily cut and stained. The leaves are not available here, so design something great for us!

<easy to say but hard to do>

How do you prepare the leaf. I have a dwarf bananna tree inside but the leaves curl up when they dry.

ishan udyoga (author)Todd Gehris2014-02-18

you can't use dwarf banana leafs for this.i think they have small leafs. find some large-growing banana leafs.thank u..

Ok, thank you. I live where it snows so it is all I have here. Do the big leaves curl up also? How do you keep them flat?

ishan udyoga (author)Todd Gehris2014-02-18

yes big leafs are curling but not too much ... if you don't have any big leafs ohh it's not leaves ok.. get your dry dwarf banana leafs and lay down them to wet floor. after leafs get wet you can easily prepare them . i think you got it
