This instructable is great. A creative way to hide something in plain sight. I'm sure we can all agree that (using any method) cheating does far more damage to learning than any of the benefits. But for passing a secret, hand encrypted message...Genius!

i came up with a really good one in highschool and had the strictest teacher and she never knew. alot of schools now have kids wearing landyards with a student id attached to it. i simply typed in font size 2 the answers and taped it to the back of the id. it was low enough to be below the desk and as i leaned forward the id hit my thighs and exposed to answers itself. i covered my eyes (like i was thinking, with my finger across my eyebrows) and snuck a peak. worked like a charm :) so if you have one of those school that use id's. cheat away :)

Stupid crapping all over the idea! Its a good idea and he deserves credit for making this... but just to shut people like this up before they start talking, id put a disclaimer saying that you do not condone cheating or whatever. Doesnt have to be true, just to shut them up beforehand.
chuckr44 in reply to Ph3nomin0nNov 12, 2010. 6:05 AM
I did this in 1984. It's not new.
kdodgesport in reply to Ph3nomin0nOct 29, 2008. 3:47 PM
So the only opinons authorized are favorable?
Ph3nomin0n in reply to kdodgesportOct 30, 2008. 7:13 AM
I.M.O, yes only favorable opinions should be expressed... People spend too much time making instructables only to be shot down by people like you who tell them " it will never work" "Instead of spending time doing this, study" So either offer CONSTRUCTIVE criticism and help him make it better or fix errors but thats it. Our moms where right... If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say anything. That applies here too.
MrMystery96 in reply to Ph3nomin0nDec 30, 2009. 3:22 PM
I thought that was thumper's mom?
kdodgesport in reply to Ph3nomin0nNov 17, 2008. 2:05 PM
So, only offer critiques that enable and encourage cheating, interesting. The criticism was not intended to be "unkind" it was however intended to be "CONSTRUCTIVE" in that constructive criticism does not always mean you get to hear what you want or like. Besides, if you really want to accuse someone of not being nice, using your definition and including the use of crude language, re-read your own postings.
kdodgesport says: Oct 10, 2008. 8:53 AM
Pretty interesting, however as an instructor myself: 1. This is not, new, unique or the least bit inventive. Instructors see stuff like this all the time and watch for it. 2. Most people who cheat give themselves away because they spend way to much time "sneaking a look" either at another paper or at hidden notes. 3. It usually quite obvious that they do not know the material and therefore deserve the failed grade they will ultimately get. 4. If you spend half as much time and effort productively studying the material as you do trying to figure "new" methods to cheat you just might find yourself being a greater success and actually learn something.

I agree too.

This is sad.  If you  put 1/2 the energy into making and thinking this up, you could probably ace the exam without a problem and you would know the material.  You will spend more time and effort in life working to cheat the system then you will actually doing things right.  WAY easier to do things right then waste time cheating.  More profitable and HONERABLE as well.

i wouldn't cheat on a test but you could keep secret messages in it
radracer says: Mar 23, 2008. 5:10 PM
I don't like to criticize, but I really don't like anything that makes the world easier for dumb people. Way to make America more mediocre.
ubr.bzkr in reply to radracerOct 5, 2008. 10:41 PM
Well personally as an American I feel quite smart when I discover a new way to cheat. Ha Ha... so lazy we all are.
sergmag says: Mar 24, 2008. 11:04 AM

yodasoda6 says: Mar 29, 2008. 8:31 AM
don't cheat. other people are getting the same grades for hard work rather than for cheating you probably hear this from old people a lot(im not) but if u keep it up u will probly regret it. just my advice...
Ingulit in reply to yodasoda6Aug 22, 2008. 8:14 PM

if you need to cheat, you shouldn't be receiving a diploma or degree. common kid, i assume you have a good head on your shoulders; so use it.
bumpus says: Mar 23, 2008. 2:46 PM
