This is a very chic head band which will dress up any outfit for any occasion!
It's very easy...you don't need a sewing machine...just any old t-shirt , a needle and thread is all you need!

Step 1: Let's Start Cutting!

Get your t-shirt and lift the top layer and start cutting at an angle...keep a 3/4" width and cut going around the t-shirt..
You would be left with a long 3/4" strip of material.
Stretch it and you would get a cord.

Step 2: Making the Band

Hold the cord in one hand and measure with it round your head..stretch it a bit but not too much...remember about 1/2" or 1" would go to connect the cords.

Now place it on the table and make a few loops...say 5 or 6 to form the head band...refer the pictures.
Sew the edges...on both sides
join the edges....
you are done....now to neaten it

Step 3: The Knot Another Look??

Now neaten the edges with the remaining strip we cut off...forming a bow like knot.
well....here we have another look with the same band!

Step 4: Variations!

You want different colors in one band?? well here it is...

the sewing of the edges is different in this...you could do the fist method or this....
i just wanted to try a different way :-D refer the pictures.

Now isn't this easy...it just takes maximum of 15 minutes...you could even add a flower...if the occasion asks for it :-)

These would make really cute headbands for skating/exercising too! Thanks for the inspiration! I love it!

Thanks!

err...how did you guess...the spiky hair? just wanted to take a snap and had no one to display it on! my son would probably scream when he grows up!
This is a good idea! Another way to recycle..
