This is quite easily my favorite meal. It's simple to make and is delicious, but that's enough of that, let's get to ingredients.
1 whole chicken or 4 chicken breasts
3 tbsp of butter
3 tbsp of flour
1/4 tsp of black pepper
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp prepared mustard
2 c milk
1 c grated cheddar cheese
You will also need:
A Crock Pot (or other slow cooker)
A cooking pot
Something to drain noodles
A casserole dish
Also you should ignore the amounts of the ingredients in the picture, we are feeding my whole family and doubled the recipe.
Step 1: Prepare Chicken
This is the easy part but also the longest. You will be putting the chicken in the slow cooker to cook throughout the day. Put your chicken in the slow cooker and fill with water. Set it to high and go do whatever you had planned for the day. You could boil the chicken normally but this makes it easier as you can have it cooking during work.
Step 2: Finish Chicken and Prepare Noodles
Now that you've gone through your day and the chicken is cooked, remove it to a bowl and shred with a fork. Pour the chicken broth into your cooking pot, then add noodles. Boil noodles as normal and then drain them in your sink. Spread noodles into the casserole dish, then spread chicken over them.
Step 3: Time for the Sauce
Quickly rinse your cooking pot and begin to melt the butter in the pot. Pour in milk and then stir in flour, salt, pepper, and mustard. Cook, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted.
Step 4: Almost Done
Pour sauce over the chicken and noodles. Now put the dish into the oven for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
This step is pretty self explanatory. Take it out of that oven and spoon it into bowls.
Thanks for taking the time to read this instructable and i hope you enjoy this meal and decide to make it again. Please vote for this in the Chicken Recipe Contest.
