The holiday season is upon us once again, and as usual, it's extremely busy.  This year I decided I wanted to do something unique, I wanted to create a Metal Christmas Tree (no need to water it, no need to clean up after it, no complicated instructions with hundreds of pieces, just something I can plug in and be done).  So I have done just that, I present the Chicken Wire Christmas Tree.  This is a simple project that can be completed in a few hours of time, and has many uses.  I even added a picture of my tree decorated for Valentine's Day!

Very nice. Looks like some of the ready mades in the store. Great idea because you can custom make these to size and colors. I suppose you could spray paint the wire frame before putting a specific color light, but the silver color reflects well.

There are so many things that can be done with this type of tree, that is the main reason why I wanted to share this with everyone. Thank you for your comments and suggestions, it is very much appreciated! (^_^)b Happy Holidays!

I need to make one of these for the chicken coop. I wonder if I should put it inside or outside of the coop? And what presents should I put under the tree?

Aww. You must spoil your chickens. I wonder how they would react to the lights?! As for presents, chicken feed! Thank you for your comment :)

We do spoil them. Free range and we feed them fresh fruits as snacks. They already get feed, but perhaps meal worms... :-) I'll post pics when we make ours.

Really nice looking decoration that anyone can make. Your instructions are detailed and easy to follow, that would look great both outside and inside. Awesome instructible Yamiguru

Yay! This is so neat. I love wire Christmas trees. I wanted to do one like this but went with fabric instead. :)

A fabric Christmas tree is a really great idea! Do you have any pictures of it? I'd love to see it! Thank you for your comment :)

Been using these in my outdoor display for a few years. Nice instructible.

Would you happen to have any pictures available that you could share? I'd love to see how these trees look as a lawn display. Thank you for your comment :)
