Everyone knows about chocolate chip cookies, the most popular cookies of all time. But we have come up with a new way to enjoy chocolate chip cookies, as a cake!

Materials:

pan with edges

flour

salt

baking soda

vanilla

chocolate chips

white chocolate chips

brown sugar

regular sugar

eggs

Crisco Butter Substitute

oven

icing

(optional) food coloring

electronic mixer

measuring cups

large bowl

Step 1: Add in the First Ingredients

Add the whole Crisco stick, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, 3/4 cup of regular sugar, and one teaspoon of vanilla to the bowl.

Step 2: Mix

Mix up the ingredients you just added in using the electronic mixer.

Step 3: Add in the Next Ingredients

Next add in 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 2 eggs, and 1/2 cup of flour into the bowl.

Step 4: Mix

Mix all these ingredients up and gradually add in 2 more cups of flour.

Step 5: Add in the Chips

Add in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and one cup of white chocolate chips into the bowl.

Step 6: Hand Mix in the Chips

Using a spoon, hand mix in the chips into the batter.

**Warning** Do not use the electronic mixer to mix in the chips.

Step 7: Pour the Batter Into the Pan

Using your spoon, pour the batter into the pan.

Step 8: Flatten the Batter

Using your hands, push down on the batter and spread it throughout the pan. It will be thin, but that's okay, the batter will rise.

Step 9: Place the Flattened Batter in the Oven

Place the flattened batter in the oven. Bake it for 12-17 minutes at 350 degrees.

**NOTE** Times differ between altitudes, ovens, and areas. Please check your cookie cake every so often and see if it needs more time.

Step 10: Let It Cool

After you take the cookie cake out of the oven, let it completely cool.

Step 11: Create the Icing

If desired add food coloring to icing. Then put your icing in your icing tool of choice.

Step 12: Ice the Cake

Ice the cake however you wish. I recommend doing a border around the edge of the cake and making sure each piece of the cake has some icing.

Step 13: Finished!

When finished, you can store by:

1. adding clear plastic wrap to the pan over the cake and storing it in the refrigerator

2. adding plastic wrap and keeping it on a counter

I do not recommend keeping in high temperature areas or in direct sunlight.
