Step 1: Introduction

I have made this Gift before when i was in elementry school for motherl's day.
It was really easy to make.
This would be a great gift or craft to make for people old enough to start reading and bigger.
You wouldn't even need to know how too cook!

- kids i suggest parental suppervision when it comes to a measureing things to cause the lease amount of "spills" or "accidents" :)

Step 2: Meterials

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2cups Semi Sweet Chocolate chips.
a pen
a paper
2 emptied clear glass jars with lids
2 rubber band
2 round piece of cloth that has a diameter that is 1-2 inches longer than the lid of the jar.
a nice ribbon
a hole puncher

*** I would recommend cup measurers if you have any ***














Step 3:

Take 1 cup of all-purpose flour and CAREFULLY layer the bottom of the first jar with  that 1 cup.
Try not to let the ingredients stick to the sides of the jar.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.

Step 4:

Next take 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar and CAREFULLY Layer  on top of the flour.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.



















Step 5:

Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

Then take 1//2 cup of granulated sugar and CAREFULLY layer on top of the salt and baking soda.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.












Step 7:

Take 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and CAREFULLY layer on top of the sugar.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.













Step 8:

Then take another 1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour and CAREFULLY layer in the 2nd jar.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.














Step 9:

Then take the remaining 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar and CAREFULLY layer it on top of the all-purpose flour.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.











Step 10:

Next take the final 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and  CAREFULLY layer on top of the brown sugar.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.

Step 11:

Finally take the last 1 cup the semi- sweet chocolate chips and CAREFULLY layer on top of the granulated sugar.
Take a teaspoon and smooth out this layer if needed.
Then screw the lid on the jars.

Step 12:

take the paper and write the Fallowing with your pen:

in a large bowl mix
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
*When mixed stir in your jar of ingredients till batter is creamy.
*Then drop by round tablespoon onto ungreased backing sheets.
*Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown.

WARNING
Wait for minimum 2-3 minutes to cool after taken out of the oven, on risk of being burnt.






Step 13:

Fold that paper in half like a greeting card.
Then punch a whole with your hole puncher on the top tight hand corner if you hold the paper like a book.







Step 14:

Take the cloth and put it on top of the lid.
Take the rubber band and wrap if around the cloth around the rim of the lid of the jar.

Step 15:

Take  the ribbon and stick it through the 2 holes in the note that we made.
Take the ribbon now and wrap it around middle of the 2 jars, so that both jars are tied togather.
Then tie a bow on the front.

Now you are finished!
