Introduction: Chocolate Cupcake #HMS2018

In this instructable I will show you how to make chocolate cupcakes.

Step 1: Ingredients/Things You Need

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup water

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder (not Dutch process)

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 large egg

1/4 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

store bought frosting of your choice

Step 2: Prep

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two 6-cup muffin tins with paper and foil liners.

Step 3: Mixing

In a medium bowl sift in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Then in a large bowl mix in the egg, buttermilk, vanilla extract, vegetable oil, water, and butter. Then in 1/4 parts start putting in the dry mixture into the wet mixture bowl until all the dry mixture is gone. Then mix the batter until thoroughly mixed.

Step 4: Pouring and Baking

Pour your batter three fourths full in the cupcake liners. Then put your muffin tin in the center rack of the oven for 20-25 minutes. after 20 minutes put a toothpick in cupcakes to check if cooked. Than take out and let it chill for 15 minutes

Step 5: Frost

Frost your cupcakes with the store bought or homemade frosting of your choice.

Step 6: Picture With Cupcakes

This is a unnecessary step I just had to do it because this was a project for school.
