Introduction: Cinnamon Roll Frappuccino Recipe

Picture of Cinnamon Roll Frappuccino Recipe

I love trying different frappuccino recipes and about a year ago, I saw this cinnamon roll one on Starbucks Secret Menu. I ordered it and it was good, but I knew I'd want to make it at home. As soon as I came across a Cinnamon Torani and White Chocolate Torani, I was ready to try. This then became an official flavor when they had it with their "Fan Flavors."

This copycat Starbucks recipe takes a few special Torani syrups, but there are probably ways to get around that, or, they are always a good investment if you like to flavor your drinks.

Step 1: Supplies

Picture of Supplies

This recipe is a single serving and makes about the equivalent of a 16oz Grande from Starbucks.

Ingredients:

Use more or less Cinnamon and White Chocolate depending on your taste.

Utensils:

  • Blender - I use a Magic Bullet at home, it's great for making individual drinks though doesn't blend quite as well as the Vitamix
  • Ice cube trays - small ice cubes make for even easier blending
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Cups for serving
  • Straws - Yay for reusable straws! These birch pattern paper straws are the ones shown in the pictures.

*Feel free to replace 1/4c of the milk with strong coffee. It will effect the taste.

Step 2: Blend Everything

Throw everything in the blender at once and mix it up.

Step 3: Decorate It and Serve

This looks great - and WAY less expensive than buying those frappes! now, if we can make it for even less... A vanilla simple syrup and a cinnamon simple syrup would be easy enough - that white chocolate simple syrup, now THAT one might be a bit more of a challenge... But, even just making 2 of the three is a good next step, yes? Thank you for this!

If you can find the vanilla and cinnamon syrups, you can totally uses some white chocolate chips instead of the syrup, it's what they used when my sister worked at Star Bucks.

Yeah, I'm sure there are ways to do substitutions, I just haven't done a lot of experimenting. Tho, if you shop around you can find Torani's for $4 sometimes, which is a pretty sweet deal, but you usually have to find them in stores to get that kind of deal :) If you try out alternative recipes, I'd love to see them!

HI! Both vanilla and cinnamon coffee syrups are a simple syrup with flavor. All it takes to make a simple syrup is equal parts water and sugar (though I have seen them done with 1 part water and 2 parts sugar, too). All you do is combine them in a pan, and bring to a boil for a few minutes. To flavor them, add a vanilla bean to the water, before adding the sugar, and bring thta to a simmer until it starts to smell really nice. Remove the bean (optional - you can also save the bean for other things - they're an amazing spice!), add the sugar, and proceed to bringing to a boil for a few minutes (2 - 4).

To make cinnamon, do the same, but with a couple of cinnamon sticks. Or, you could just make one simple sugar, with both the cinnamon and the vanilla bean, at the same time, and save a step and a bottle.

If you want to change it up a little, and give it a caramel flavor, use light brown sugar, and let it boil a couple of minutes longer (4 - 6).

If you really want to play with it, you could use dark brown sugar, and use all of the spices for molasses cookies in the simmering water, before adding the sugar, and have molasses cookie flavored coffee...

All that, and I still haven't figured out how to do the white chocolate simple syrup. o.O LOL

Hey. Yeah I think many of the Torani's are just flavored Simple Syrups. I made a cinnamon one before, but I decided to use brown sugar instead of regular sugar for something a little different: https://www.instructables.com/id/Cinnamon-Simple-Sy...
