This is a quick instructable on cleaning your earphones at home. This entire process will take 5 minutes.

Step 1: Materials Required

 • Cotton
 • Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol or Nail Polish Remover)

Step 2: Cleaning the Earphones

 1. Apply the Isopropyl Alcohol to the cotton.
 2. Rub the cotton on the earphone cable. (If the Isopropyl Alcohol from the cotton dries up, dip the cotton into the bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol.)

Step 3: The Cleaned Earphones

After rubbing the cotton over the cable after a while the cable should look like this.

Nail polish remover (acetone) is great to dissolve your ear phones completely. I tried that once.
