Use taper candles to make a 24 hour clock.

Thanks for the comment. This is the first time we've ever posted anything to Instructables, or to anywhere else, for that matter, so we're still learning how to go about it. Here are the details: Starting at the top of a 10 inch taper candle, measure down 2 1/4 inches and mark with a magic marker. Then mark 3 7/8 in., then 5 1/2, 6 3/8, 7 7/8, and 9 inches. Each mark represents an hour burned or passed. It takes 4 of the candles to burn for 24 hours. My son had a great time measuring, burning the candle for an hour and making the marks. Thanks for the urging to include the details.
that's actually pretty cool, but please post more detail!

reminds me of the puzzle where you have 2 pieces of rope that burn for 30min each, and you have to time 45 minutes. however you can't cut them in half because some parts of it burn faster and other slower(the rate of burn is not consistent)
