Introduction: Closet Organizer and Matchmaker - 8 Hanger Loop
Looking for something that will make a great difference in your day-to-day life when it comes to your wardrobe ?- 3D print the 8 Hanger Hook which should help you organize your wardrobe, specifically if you'er hit by the dilemma every morning of "what goes on what !"
Basically if you have a difficulty on what to wear, and then have to decide what T-shirt goes on your Jeans - 3D print a few 8 hooks, to attach your T-shirt hangers to the Pant hanger as shown in the third picture above.
Here is some math -- say there are 251 working days in a year and you take 6 minutes to decide on what to wear. Which means you loose about 251 X 6 minutes, which comes to about a full day lost in a year
Step 1: 3D Print the 8 Hanger Hook
Download the 3D printing software that your printer supports, in my case I am using the Printrbot Simple Metal which use Repetier-Host as a software to
- Slice the STL files attached, which basically means cutting the part into various layers
- And send commands to the 3D printer while printing
In my case I am using the following filaments HATCHBOX 1.75mm yellow PLA
Download the STL file attached and based on your printer bed size print multiple hooks together as shown in the picture. I am printing two hook together on my printrbot simple metal.
If you plan to print one hook, slicing should take about a 7-8 seconds and printing should take about 7- 8 mins.
Step 2: Using the 8 Hanger Loop to Organize and Save Space
Picture this .. you ended up buying a few shirts and pants over the weekend, when you were checking out a clearance sale at a super store.
You are now home, and wondering were will all you new stuff go as you closet is already full. Fire up your 3D printer and print the STL file attached in step one, and hang your shirts one on top of the other using the 8 hook loop as show in the picture above.
Step 3: Deciding What Goes on What
Ahh.. now your at the tough part of the ible , that is deciding which of your tops goes on which pant.
So get your pants out of the closet and decide what top goes on what.
Once you have made this difficult decision, use a couple of 8 hanger hook to hold the top/shirt hanger with the pant hanger as shown in the picture above.
