Introduction: Clothespin Rubber Band Shooter

In this Instructable, I'm going to show you how to hack a normal clothespin and transform it into a Rubber Band shooter! It's very simple and easy, yet very efficient; So let's get started!

Materials:

- 2 Popsicle sticks

- A clothespin

- 4 Rubber Bands ( For assembly )

Tools:

- Scissors

Step 1: Joining the Clothespin and the Stick

To do this, just grab the clothespin and position one of the sticks under it. Then, secure them together with a rubber band using the gap on the top of the clothespin. Finally, drag the clothespin to the end of the stick.

Step 2: Cutting the Stick

Grab your scissors, and cut the rounded part of the other stick to form a straight surface.

Step 3: Adding the Final Stick

Place the cut stick under the first one, and position half of it outside, in order to extend the length of the sticks, and then use two rubber bands to secure the cut stick in place. (Refer to pictures)

Extending the length would lead to more tension, so that would make the shooting process stronger.

Step 4: Making It Steadier

Add the final rubber band as shown in the picture to make the shooter steadier.

Step 5: Load It!

Open the clothespin, and put one part of a rubber band inside. Then, close it, and stretch the rubber band to the cut stick. (Refer to picture)

Thank you! You can also load it with some of these loom bracelet rubber bands. It would then shoot for up to 30 feet!
