Picture of Coca-Cola Computer
This is a PC case built out of Coca-Cola merchandise. The computer's components came from a Dell Dimension 8500. If you attempt to do this on your own, be extra careful when cutting the aluminum cans, the edges are incredibly sharp. The computer is slightly exposed to the outside, but I use the computer for leisure activities, so my recommendation is that you use a computer that you have laying around the house to do this project.

You will need:
An old PC
Coca-Cola Cans(20 Cans) if you want to do more on the top or use glass bottles that is fine to.
Coca Cola bottle carrying Case.
High Speed dremmle
Spray Glue
Wire Mesh
Round File

Step 1: Empty Can's/Prep Computer

Picture of Empty Can's/Prep Computer
You can do what I did, or you can empty the cans into a large pitcher. I drank about 30 cans of Coca-Cola in 3 days, my kidney's haven't been the same since. I personally recommend just puncturing a hole into the can and emptying it. Puncturing it first makes cutting easier in the long run. Once you have finished emptying cans, place them to the side and get your computer parts.

If you are going to use an older computer, unplug it before you strip it of its parts. From the Dell Dimension I took everything out of the case except for the Floppy drive and placed it to the side.

I am a very big Coke fan as is my Brother-in-law. He is a Mac guy, I am a PC guy. I think I just won the war as to which one is better! Thank you.......... P.S. I think glass bottles would look even cooler!

Yeah they would def be cool, I plan on making one with them eventually, It's just going to take alot of time to cut the glass.

Just think of how cool it will look if you wire up your computer with all of the fun internal components that light up. That will be very cool through the bottles. The other thing would be to work in liquid cooling and have a Coke colored liquid so it looks like it is Coke cooked. Part of the cooling system could be having the liquid pore into a bottle so it looked like a Coke bottling line.

that would be freaking awesome

This looks like it would get, no ventilation at all. But really nice, it would have been cooler if you had used mountain dew, lol.

Did you actually SET out to do this intentionally or did you just happen to have a 12 pack case full of empty coke cans laying around doing nothing?
Romado12187 (author)  Punkguyta7 years ago
someone was getting rid of their old comp...found some stuff around the house.

that's great, or it would be if it was made with pepsi stuff :D

this is sweet! great concept PC.....I bet you could integrate the speakers into it too by using cans for housing the speakers and a big 2 litre bottle for a subwoofer or something along those lines. Unfortunately my pc is a shared one and i don;t think my family..mainly my dad would take nicely to the idea of me taking aprt the pc and giving it a 'New Look'. +1

COOL! Great job. it looks like it would have problems with static and cooling.
Romado12187 (author)  LinuxH4x0r7 years ago
It works really well, haven't had any problems, but then again I dont use this PC to its fullest.

It looks cool man. I would do it but if mine ever heated up I'm skeptical it the Styrofoam wouldn't melt. W00t, overclocking.
jayhawker087 years ago
neat idea. turned out pretty cool
pretty cool idea. Like Aar000n3y I can't see that case having great air circulation though, especially with the big thick Styrofoam lid. Heat rises and all that insulation is just going to trap all that heat inside. Sure you may have the side vents from the pallet but those holes are so small and everything is so cramped in there I don't seem them doing a great job of providing adequate ventilation to the PC. It might be fine if all your doing is light work, like reading email and web-surfing, but anything more taxing, like gaming, could be a real problem. I recommend boring out a hole or two in the Styrofoam lid and putting in a couple of upward blowing exhaust fans. this would suck air up through the holes in the bottom and through the PC; greatly increasing airflow.
Romado12187 (author)  jaysbob7 years ago
yeah, I agree with you, like I said I only use this computer for word docs and what not, boring holes isn't a bad idea.
Aar000n3y7 years ago
Looks pretty good. The only problem I have with it is that it would be a very hot computer with the foam on top. I would maybe find another way to attach the cans, or install a large fan in the middle of the foam on top to let all of the heat out.
Romado12187 (author)  Aar000n3y7 years ago
You may think that, but becasue the bottom is so open it stays cooler than an average PC
Really? What are the temperature readings inside? I didn't think without a couple fans pulling and pushing air through the bottom that much heat would go through there

that is the stupidest thing ever(in a good way) it is so cool, i can believe my eyes, you have made the coolest computer ever. great instructable!!!! i plan to do this one day when i get the time (busy life of a 13 year old). only thing i would change is to make it pepsi, cause i love pepsi better than coke, anyways. very nice instructable. -gamer ps. i dont want any stupic comments from anyone saying that coke is better than pepsi.
WAY COOL! At first I thought this was just a decoration for the monitor, but this turned out way cooler, amazing job!
