Command Prompt Matrix NUMBERS

 by Brennn10
My last Instructable with the Matrix was only with the letters, but this one is a batch file that uses numbers, and looks more realistic. The real Matrix used Japanese letters and other symbols, but this one just uses numbers in different orders and sizes and it looks more realistic from my last Instructable.

It is pretty easy so lets get to it.

Pjosker says: Jan 5, 2011. 1:09 PM
Try this on a friends computer. Perferably one who does not know that much about his&her machine.
color 0a
@echo off
:loop
cls
echo overwriting memoryspace %random%%random%%random%
goto loop

LOL. What processor do you have? I have a dual core AMD Athlon 64 X2. The text goes by so fast you can't even see individual numbers.
fwjs28 in reply to cyrozapMar 25, 2009. 4:03 PM

cyrozap in reply to QwertyuioLPFeb 10, 2009. 7:27 AM
If the CMD was in fullscreen and you couldn't get out, how were you able to post that comment? Oh, wait, ctrl-alt-del. Just answered my own question.

xonos says: Jun 22, 2008. 4:43 PM

FunkyGL says: Feb 15, 2008. 7:39 PM
when I made a new text document, and copied the code into it, i saved it as matrix.bat, and it saved as matrix.bat.txt, and not as an actual batch file, any idea what's wrong?
fwjs28 in reply to FunkyGLMay 25, 2008. 10:55 AM
when it saves thee is a small drop down bar labeled .txt and when dropped down it sais all file, slect all and save as .bat
zach112 in reply to FunkyGLFeb 29, 2008. 11:22 AM
take off .txt
tadfad says: Nov 18, 2007. 7:40 PM
If the numbers are scrolling too fast, use "sleep x.x" to slow it down. I like sleep 0.2 for a nice speed.
markomo531161 in reply to tadfadMay 17, 2008. 9:02 PM
WEAR DO YOU PUT IT?
atombomb1945 in reply to tadfadNov 18, 2007. 8:51 PM
Where do you stick this into the program at?
tadfad in reply to atombomb1945Nov 19, 2007. 4:31 AM
Here's a slightly refined version of below: #!/bin/bash while [ true ] do echo "$RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM $RANDOM " sleep 0.1 done
arhodes18 in reply to tadfadMar 22, 2008. 10:32 PM
I don't get what your saying here. I tried copying the whole code you put and it didn't work where do I put it?
tadfad in reply to arhodes18Mar 23, 2008. 2:31 PM
Put the above code in a text file, name that file random.sh (or your choice of filename) and make it executable using the command "chown a+x random.sh" from the command line. (assuming you're in the directory where you saved random.sh)
