Step 3: Setup the Xbox
So what did bridging the connections do?
By creating a bridge, you connected the wireless and LAN connections together. The LAN provides a network to any computer connected to it (In this case, the Xbox), and the bridge will connect the Internet connection, and the Local Area Connection together providing internet. Easy, huh? Easy enough to not understand.

Thanks
When I bridge the connection, I can't connect to the internet. I am connected to my wireless network, but no internet. Any advice appreciated.
On my router, if I am connected to the network but not the internet, it means that my telephone cable (if you use ADSL) is unplugged, or that my internet temporarily went offline. That basically means the internet is down, or your router is not configured correctly. Make sure your cables aren't loose. Then just wait a few seconds. If you still can't connect, then there's something wrong with your router/internet.
Hope that helps (i'm not sure if it will, because we all have different routers/ISP's.)
If you are on an open network, you shouldn't have to do ANYTHING manually.
Do the steps he said. Make a Bridge.
Go to network settings in your xbox360 and continually test.
(Don't forget you actually have to have a GOLD LIVE account to play online)
(Also tell your xbox to automatically get new IP address.)
If connection fails, click "DIAGNOSE" windows should diagnose this and come up with a solution for you. Most likely it will pop up something about enabling "automatic IP" or whatever. Choose that one.
Windows should crank for a bit. If it STILL says its failing to connect, diagnose again, or click "try finding another solution" whatever. It should now have popped up a box with an option of "RESET (insert your connection name here) NETWORK ADAPTOR"
Click that.
Windows cranks for a bit.
Test the connection on the xbox and that more than likely will fix your problems.
how do i set that up?
