Instructables
Hey everyone!

I present to you the second new lift from my ball machine Euphoria. The first one is here.
The Connected Arm Lift is in my opinion a cool looking lift, with a pretty low piece count.
It works very good, I've never seen a ball fall of the lift.
If you build this lift, read every image note!

I hope you like it and have much fun with building!

Here we will build the motor section. It contains the motor, the gears and the axle.
Always slide the switch of the motor to the left.

Step 6: Arms

Now we will build the four arms. They pass the ball to eachother so it can get from the entrance to the exit.

Yay! The Connected Arm Lift is complete!

Thanks for building my lift or watching the ible only.
When you've built the lift send me a photo, then I can add it to this step!
I hope you liked it!

See you!

I'm trying to mod this lift, but it never works. NOTHING is the right length.

Hm that's very weird, I've never had trouble with this lift, it always worked great. You can send pics, questions, or any other things I can help you with in PM. I'll do my best to help you out.

btw, 2600th comment :D

sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
ja.
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
Hm... en welke motor gebruik je?
dezelfde die jij ook gebruikt,.
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
Ha ill post mine soon. I built the connected arm lift tomorrow.
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
Yep of spinning freefall lift.
cooljupjup1 year ago
HI This lfit works fine it also works with the newer balls! and ihave no problems anymore! :)
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
Can you send a photo?

sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
Yay!
haahah :p
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
Haha cool!
Where do you get the time to count the pieces? I don't have 76 grey spacers!!!
Most spacers on the axles of the arms can be replaced with connectors.
sathothy1 year ago
sandroknexmaster (author)  sathothy1 year ago
Das de bedoeling! Anders zou de bal er toch afvallen ;)
?

What?
what?

were you saying!?

you dont have 2 tell me.
sandroknexmaster (author)  www1391 year ago
It's Dutch.
ooohhhhh!
Love this lift! Piece effective and very fun to watch. Probably my favorite part of Euphoria. Great job, five stars, and thanks for the instructions!!! ;-D
Thanks! Are you going to build it?
Probably, though not right away. (I've been working on my HO scale model railroad for a while now.) However, once I get back to my K'nex, I will definitely have this lift on my priority list!
hey!!we have HO scale model railroad too!!
Cool! I'm finishing the wiring on mine today, and then it's on to scenery. How far along is yours? (Or perhaps yours is already complete...)
oh, mine isn't set up
Nice to hear!
cooljupjup1 year ago

sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago

This was very fun to build. I now feel like giving a shot at a ball machine. The only thing I wish I noticed before I began building this is how many spacers were used.

sandroknexmaster (author)  JonnyBGood1 year ago
I made a parts list... :D
You can try to change most spacers on the axles of the arms into connectors (just like MarsCrystalMan did, watch the last step of this instructable or in the comments somewhere below.)
Thanks for building it! I hope you can make a good ball machine with it!
you're right.JonnyBGood should make a ball machine.
sandroknexmaster (author)  www1391 year ago
He should indeed :p

First picture here! I like your lift I built! I had to add a few things so it would work with the newer black/white balls. Other than that, here you go. Keep up the good work!
DSC00900.JPG
are black/white balls smaller?
sandroknexmaster (author)  www1391 year ago
No a bit bigger.
sandroknexmaster (author)  collinjo121 year ago
Thanks for building! Are you going to use it in your next ball machine?
Hopefully!! And my picture was met to be added to the last step in this Connected Arm Lift instructable just like you asked. Thanks
sandroknexmaster (author)  collinjo121 year ago
Sorry, I forgot that :)
cooljupjup1 year ago
haha nice lift i build it already! :)
sandroknexmaster (author)  cooljupjup1 year ago
Great! Can you send me a pic so I can add it to the last step?
Jag561 year ago
Awesome! I love this lift!
sandroknexmaster (author)  Jag561 year ago
Thanks! You can use it if you want.
Sometime yes!
sandroknexmaster (author)  Jag561 year ago
Cool! :p
Just built the lift...it is AMAZING! With only a minimal 730 pieces I get a tall (relative to the piece count), aesthetically pleasing, mechanically flawless, and just plain cool lift. The concept behind it, as well as the execution of that concept, make this lift a success. A job well done. I will definitely be using this lift in my next ball machine (with your permission, of course) :-D Modded part of the support structure where the crank rods kept getting snagged, but after that change I had no problems at all!
Thanks for building and the good comment!
And off course you can use it in your next ball machine, that's why I made instructions! :D
Can you send me a photo? Then I can add it to the last step.
Sorry for the late response, here are some photos, including my minor changes to it.
However, to my great disappointment, I found that the elements I'm using for my next ball machine will not fit if I use this lift... :-( But never fear...someday I WILL use this lift!
Oops, forgot the pics! Here they are:

Thanks for the pictures!
My pleasure, thanks for adding my pics! ;-D It was fun building it!
No problem!
Nice lift! You have a lot of cabinet space in your room. :-P
