You'll need:

Petrol lamp (dah)
Power cord
Lamp socket
Lamp (one that will fit both the socket AND the petrol lamp)
Knife, dremmel, and screwdrivers
Switch for the lamp
Some patience

Buy an old petrol lamp...
Self describing step... buy a petrol lamp that you like or find one you already have.
Disassemble the main body and remove the pieces to make place for the lamp socket.
