Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups M&M's

Instructions


PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in M&M's. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

About 1/2-inch cookie dough place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Well I guess I did something wrong? I am thinking I used to much butter. Cookies don't look anything like you buy in a store. I will try again sometime soon.

I have my mum's recipe for Anzac biscuits, it is absolutely fool proof for her! Whenever I make them though, they turn into a giant, burnt pancake on my baking tray. <br>I have no idea what I do differently, we have even made them together but mine always fail. <br>I have since learnt that if I roll them into balls, don't flatten them and put them in the fridge before baking, they work! <br>Perhaps this trick might work for you too, but looks aside, I'm sure they taste great :)
<p>They may not be store-bought pretty, but I'll bet they're still yummy.</p>
