Cool Cedar Wood Jewelry Box

Step 2Step 3:

Step 3:
Now that you have your wood to work with, take it into your workshop and select the best piece for a jewelry box. Select a piece about eight inches across the round side. Now cut a slab from it about three inches thick. Mine is 3 inches thick and 6 inches in diameter. Remember you will be cutting the drawers out of the 3 inch depth. Now remove the bark and sand pretty smooth. I use a 6 inch stationary belt sander. Hand sanding takes forever. Also sand the flat cut top and bottom.
