Cool Cedar Wood Jewelry Box

Step 5Step 5: Finish Glue & Varnish

Step 5: Finish Glue & Varnish
Now back yo your shell (box). It should look like a cut out frame of three teardrops. Where you cut into and came out of the wood should be hidden by gluing and clamping the cut in area tifgtly.
I also take some of the cedar sawdust from the bandsaw and sprinkle it on the glue to blend it and make it almost disappear.
Sand and continue to finish the edges and faces of the dry drawers. You may have to sand down the drawers to make them slide out easily. Take your time. Its a good way to pass the evenings in winter. You can flock the drawers inside red or green, or glue in felt. ( See final steps for details.)  Your choice. Now pick a finish. Polyurethane or any finish satin or semigloss. Keep it for yourself or give it as a gift.  It will be cherished forever.
