:-( Too bad for me, but congratulations to the finalists! They are all good choices.

Yeah... To bad that I live in the UK! :-(

I feel sorry that the 900,000 volt Van de Graaff Generator did not make it to the top 30...

I was about to work on a bottle-related project, but they are too many great instructables, I would never win...

Will the vote counts be available (either just to the authors or publicly)?
Jan 13, 2009. 2:15 PMjeff-o says:
I'd also like to see vote counts. I must admit, I'm quite disappointed about not making the top 30. That was a hell of a lot of work... :(
Jan 13, 2009. 2:25 PMkelseymh says:
I'm disappointed, too. Keep in mind that there were nearly 200 entries, so only 15% made this first cut. It's a pity the number of finalists wasn't defined as a percentage of entrants, rather than a fixed number. While both your and my projects were a "hell of a lot of work," both to do and to document, the same can certainly be said of the finalists. A hand-inlaid wooden box? A plasma cutter? I really don't think any of these 30 projects were unworthy.
Jan 13, 2009. 2:18 PMKiteman says:
Vote counts used to be visible.
Jan 13, 2009. 2:21 PMKiteman says:
Those are seriously deserving projects, each in its own right.

We're not worthy.
