Introduction: Craig's Modern RGB LED Clock

About: I'm a retired computer programmer, hardware designer and musician.
I needed a nice looking clock for my new home so I decided to design and build one. This clock uses an Arduino compatible micro controller, a Chronodot real time clock module and a 14 LED segment of a RGB LED ribbon.

This clock turned out really well and always gets positive comments from all who see it. One pleasant but unanticipated side effect of the clock's packaging is that in the dark the clock projects a collage of colors on the wall behind it. The color and the shapes change with the time in very pleasing ways.
