I know what you're thinking. How can I make an Atari when I have no parts or electronic know how? Simple! Follow me through this tale of love, life and videogames and you'll see just how I did it.

Step 1: They Meet

So it all starts with a couple of silly kids who decided to give love a shot. One a starry-eyed gamer with no particular future in mind nor any real goals (me), the other an intelligent bombshell with a penchant for taking on challenges.

Step 2: Love and Other Consequences

A whirlwind romance of epic proportion took us by surprise and we found ourselves swallowed by the beast they call love. The days flew in a blur of awesome dates, endless nights and the promise that it would go on like this forever. Fortunately for us life is what happens when you're busy making plans.

Step 3: Fate Steps In

The wild times of the past came to a screeching halt as we realized that our family was about to grow. It was time to get serious. No problem, we have Nine months I said naively not realizing how fast time flies and that babies know nothing of schedules.

Step 4: What's in a Name?

Nine months came four weeks sooner than and it should have. We managed to make all the preparations for a baby/birth and even though it was last minute (6am) arrived at the hospital with time to spare. After a particularly difficult pregnancy we weren't surprise when labour was intense and lengthy but she made it. Our little girl was born! As Mommy held her it sunk in like a lead weight. We realized that though we believed we had thought of everything we forgotten to pick from our list of a-typical names. Worse yet, we had forgotten the list all together and couldn't remember a damn one of them. I took one look at this beautiful girl with the red button on her head and said the only thing I could think being a hopeless gamer, Atari, she has one button just like an Atari. It was at this point that stress and exhaustion had ruined Mommy's resolve against Daddy's silly ideas and she no longer had the wear-with-all to say no. That is how we created our own little Atari, Atari Marie Wilde, like her namesake, has been a game changer for our family and gaming is even better now that I have a player 2!
