About: I like sewing and crafts, and trying new things. I'm vegetarian and always looking for new recipes. My cat's name is Mirko and likes to be in the centre of things, so you will see him in several of my instruc…
My friend's birthday was coming up so I wanted to make him something as a gift. I know he is a World of Warcraft fan so I decided to crochet something iconic from the game.  I've never played the WOW myself so I had a hard time finding something to make. But I'm familiar with the genre and know that health and mana potions are used in the game so I looked through the WOWWiki and found mana and healingpotion bottles to use as models for my crochet pattern.

Materials:
  • 2.5mm crochet hook
  • Red, blue and gold (yellow yarn) (weight 3-4)
  • Stuffing
Pattern:
I crochet in rounds instead of a spiral so I joined the first and last stitch in each round with a slip stitch.  In this pattern I used the abbreviations inc (2sc in sc) and dec (sc next 2 sts tog).  I've never liked the way decreasing left a gap in the work and was happy to find a way to make an invisible decrease see instructions here.

The pattern indicates where to use the red and yellow yarn for the health potion.  Substitute the blue yarn for the red to make the mana potion.
