CO2 Cartridge File Handles (mango de cartucho CO2)

Mi hijo Me regaló dos cartuchos vacíos de CO2 Crosman, y como yo no sabía qué hacer con ellos, pregunté en el foro de Instructables. Jayefuu me dio una buena idea, y la puse en práctica. Hay otras buenas también, pero me incliné por esta. Este es el resultado.

My son gave me two empty Crosman shells of CO2, and since I did not know what to do with them, I asked Instructables forum. Jayefuu gave me a good idea, and put into practice. There are others good too, but I went for it. This is the result.

Step 1: Elementos (elements)

Además de un cartucho Crosman vacío, tenga una lima o escofina a la cual le haga falta un mango. En mi caso, esta se las vino arreglando bien sin uno desde su nacimiento, hace más de 25 años. Pero ya que estamos, viene como anillo al dedo para hacer de cobaya.

In addition of an empty Crosman cartridge, keep a file or rasp that lacks a handle. In my case, this is working well without it since its birth, more than 25 years ago. But for that matter, comes in handy to make guinea pigs.

La verdad es que me encantaron tus trabajos soy de argentina esta bueno ver un poco del "lo atamos con alambre" que nos caracteriza, y con respecto a tu idea mi viejo hizo algo similar pero con los agarres de una manopla para ejercitar la fuerza de las manos, el encotro lo q es como el resorte de la manopla pero le faltaban las agarraderas y uso dos tubitos de los mismos que uso usted. Bueno muy bueno la verdad que siga construyendo. hasta luego

Great cheap solution to a problem. I've used thread bobbins, odd wood scraps, whatever is at hand at the time for this problem. If it's something you use a lot, then fill the container with something to balance the weight, otherwise, it should be fine as is.

a cheap work glove with rubber dots or made for wet weather or good gripping would work well here.brtter tan robber bands, ansd safer if you slip. bicycle inner tube cut open also is great to wrap around and make a gripper surface

Thanks, escapefromyonkers, the glove is a good idea, but as I use the file for only a few seconds each time, I think that in this case is better to follow the KISS principle: "Keep It Simple, Stupid".

Awesome idea. I have a whole box of these cartridges, somewhere, I now have a use for them.

Suggestion: I could see where these under the right circumstances could become slippery.

I suggest putting some sports type friction tape on the cartridge to give it a little "grip" in your hand. The stuff they use on baseball bats and such.

Nice job. About the only improvement I'd sugest is to use the CO2 to push your homebrew out of the keg first, and then make some handles.
There are plenty of brewing 'ibles to get you started.

Hello Mtalus! The cartridges came to me empty. My son used all CO2. I think them can't be removed until all the gas is wasted.

Thanks for crediting me, but I can't claim the idea in any way, I just saw it at work and thought it was VERY clever. I will show the man who thought of it next time I see him, I'm sure he'll be delighted that everyone liked the idea so much.

If you'd like to amend the credits, please change it to "Jayefuu's friend Peter", since as far as I know it was his idea. A better title might be "CO2 Cartridge File Handles"
