Crumpled Griddle Scarf Video and Pattern

Introduction: Crumpled Griddle Scarf Video and Pattern

This is a new pattern that I'm adding to the list of Winter scarfs and stitch patterns. This is a very simple but interesting stitch pattern. Great for a beginner. It gives a great texture. If you're a beginner it's something different then just using the same basic stitch over and over again but great for a more experienced crocheter.

After Row 1 you will be doing a Double Crochet in each Double Crochet from the previous row. You will also be doing a Single Crochet in each Single Crochet from the previous row. If you don't have the instructions with you that's an easy way to remember what to do.

There is a video tutorial from youtube above if needed. Please do not distribute this video as your own OR change it in any way

Step 1: Supplies

Gather your supplies. I used an I/9 5.50mm 9UK size hook and Caron 1 Pound yarn in Sage. You can use an worsted weight yarn.

Skill Level: Beginner

Yarn used: All Caron 1 Pound in Sage

Chain 19 or Multiple of 2 + 3 chains are needed

Crochet Hook: I

Scarf Size: 6 inches by 56 inches

3.25 (3 1/4) stitches per inch

2.25 (2 1/4)rows per inch

* - *: Repeat the instructions between the astericks

ch = chain

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

PATTERN: Chain 19 to start

Row 1: Go into the 4th ch from hook (counts as 1st DC), *1SC in next chain, 1DC in the next chain* repeat between * and * til the end of the row.

Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as 1st DC) *1SC in the next stitch, do 1DC into the next stitch. * repeat between * and * til the end of the row, ending in the turning chain

Repeat Row 2 until you reach your desired length.
