Introduction: Culturing Infusorians-Make Your Own Fry/Baby Fish Food/WARNING: DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

PLEASE READ BOTTOM OF THIS MESSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a method used to make your own fry food. Your baby fish should be eating baby brine shrimp when they hatch but they will eat this too. You should give this to them if you do not have brine shrimp eggs. Minimum
time to make: 1 week/ WARNING: DO NOT TRY IF YOU ARE WILLING TO SACRIFICE THE FISH YOU ARE FEEDING IT TO! FOR SOME PEOPLE IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM AND FOR OTHERS IT DOES NOT (IN OTHER WORDS, HAS KILLED FISH). THIS METHOD IS DIRECTLY FROM AN AQUARIUM GUIDE BOOK SHONE IN THE VIDEO! I DID NOT COME UP WITH THIS! THIS VIDEO BELONGS TO QUAQA88 OF YOUTUBE!!

Best method i have ever seen, put a few dried oak leaves in a jar of water. Place the jar in a dark place for a week or so. You will have plenty of live fry food.

Good guide on how to make infusoria. One thing I would mention though, is that this food is only good for egg laying fish. Moothbrooding and livebearing fish will release their fry as free swimming fry, and they will be much bigger than newly hatched fry. To feed the larger fry, crush up some fish flakes to a very fine powder. Try to get it as fine as you possibly can. You can also buy a product called Hikari First Bites. These foods will provide the proper nutrition and are the right size, for fish that are not egg layers.

For added chance of success, I suggest putting the open dish outside for a week to expose it to infusoria spores, or simply add some pond or stream water, fresh from the pond or stream. Take water near the bottom of the pond and get some muck too, where the spores hide.
