Curly Q Keyhole Scarf to Crochet

I bought this yarn on a whim.  I was looking for a fun stretchy yarn to make a headband out of, and saw this yarn calling my name.  (You know what I’m talking about it you’ve had yarn just call your name out to you!)

This cute scarf is made out of Red Heart Curly Q yarn in a color called Calypso.  (The first link takes you to Jo-Ann.com where I bought the yarn.)
I designed this scarf after a scarf one of my friends purchased at an upscale retail store, and of course I thought to myself, “I can make that!”

This is a photo instructable for the pattern I wrote up for the scarf. 
As there is not currently a ‘free pattern’ available for a crocheted pattern of this type of scarf and this yarn, I apologize for having to sell the pattern for $1.50 as a Ravelry download.  But, you can make as many scarves as you want for gifts and to sell at Boutiques (like me) once you have the pattern, so maybe you can make your money back.

Please feel free to use this pattern for personal use, or selling completed ones, but PLEASE, give me the credit for the pattern by preferably placing a link on your completed project page or sale cards.  As all designers, I would appreciate if you would not call this pattern as your own, or copy the photos for this project for anything other than personal use.

Materials, Tools, and Pattern Notes
Materials & Tools Needed:
2 Balls Curly Q Yarn – Link takes you to JoAnns.com, the color I chose is called Calypso
Size P crochet hook (11.5 mm)
scissors and yarn needle

Pattern Notes:
Gauge is not important to this project.
My scarf measures 46” not stretched out.
Be careful not to twist the foundation chain as you work.
First ch 3 is first dc of rnd.

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
rhdc = reverse half double crochet
rnd = round
sk = skip
sl st = slip stitch
st or sts = stitch or stitches
yo = yarn over

Description of Figures:
Figure 1: Shows initial foundation chain
Figure 2: Shows the "keyhole" where one side of the scarf goes into the "hole" of the other to cross the scarf
