Cursor Mod: Making it Look Like Vista

This is a guide to making your XP cursor look Vista. This is guaranteed not to screw anything up in your system if you follow the directions. This does not involve actually modding XP. Instead, I will show you how to download Vista cursors and install them. You do not need anything other than a functioning XP machine and an internet connection.

PS: Can you please post your opinion on this instructable. I want to know if people are actually using it, or if they are just clicking on the instructable, looking at it for a few seconds, and then navigating away. TY

Step 1: Download Cursors

The first thing that you will need to do is download the cursors. To do this, click on the provided link and open the cursors in a compressed folder. From there, make a new folder on you desktop for cursor mods. Drag the contents of the compressed folder into your new cursor mods folder on your desktop. Now, you can start installing the cursors!

That's the Windows Royale theme for Windows XP Media Center Edition. Standart Windows XP has the Luna theme.

Why would you want it like vista? Some things about vista are good and some are bad. I would like vista to come with the XP style

This is pretty cool. It works, it's easy as long as you have a mouse connected to your pooter, and the cursors look pretty cool. The only thing is that for me, the movement isn't as smooth as the default cursors, yet this may be due to the fact that I'm on one of the computers for my school... I rate it five star if it works when smoothly when used on my home pooter. If not, then I rate 3.5

can someone help me please when i try and download it it comes up with the cursers but it opens in a winzip file and i cannot use them any tips?

That is what should happen. When you click on the file, your computer should ask you to unzip the file. Accept, and then everything should work. If you can't unzip the file, download an unzipping program and use it to unzip the files.

Yeah, this Instructable goes in the wrong direction; it should be from Vista cursors to XP ones.

I just chose Vista cursors, they can be replaced with anything else you find on the web.
