iImage Information

This is a piece of furniture I made for my Father for my Design Technology course at college. It took a reasonable amount of time to complete and now it is I'm pretty pleased. It's constructed entirely from 18mm birch ply, even the draws (overkill..? Nah!), apart from the curved tops, and drawer fronts.
Hope you like it.

I love that AC/DC is on the turntable. Dirty Deeds is a great album.
and I'll spin those round asap.

Hey Phantom are you going to ever post the dxfs or other files on your construction? I have a cnc machine and i'd like to cut something like this. If you post them or send to me I could convert them to cuttable cad files. Thanks
- Steaming, you steam the wood until it's pliable and then form it around a mould
- You may just be able to use thin veneers of ply and glue them onto a mould, and maybe hold them on with ratchet straps (?).
- Glue the veneers together and tack them onto a mould, Remove the tacks, or leave them in.
- Use a two part mould which, (is harder to make) and would push the ply on either side forming it to the shape.
I'm sure there's loads more but that's all I can think of at the moment.
Hope it helps
