This is a piece of furniture I made for my Father for my Design Technology course at college. It took a reasonable amount of time to complete and now it is I'm pretty pleased. It's constructed entirely from 18mm birch ply, even the draws (overkill..? Nah!), apart from the curved tops, and drawer fronts.
Hope you like it.

Beautiful cabinet. I really like the design. You might want to rotate some of the pictures, though.
I love that AC/DC is on the turntable. Dirty Deeds is a great album.

By the way, if my cabinets ever look wavy, they look more like this...

The simple way to make the bendable plywood tops and drawer fronts would be to simply make kerf cuts on the underside spaced approx. 1/4 inch apart cutting almost all the way down thru all but that last layer of plywood and that might take 10 minutes to do and that plywood will bend like an accordion. That beats steaming or laminating and gluing.

Hey Phantom are you going to ever post the dxfs or other files on your construction? I have a cnc machine and i'd like to cut something like this. If you post them or send to me I could convert them to cuttable cad files. Thanks

This is a beautiful piece of furniture I think lining the shelves and drawers with black felt would be a nice touch but other than that small personal preference I love this set up.

Is there a way to do those curved tops without using the vacuum process?
