Introduction: Custom Color Nail Polish

About: Hi! I'm a twenty-something journalism student from the Netherlands. This is how I roll. I love cooking, technology, beauty, fashion and I have a healthy obsession with shiny and cute things.

I was cleaning out my make-up stash and I noticed how much shades of eye shadow I never use. It's a shame really. I also have quite a few top and base coats for nail polish I never use. I didn't want to throw it out, so I thought I would color them with the eye shadow pigments. It worked out pretty good!

Step 1: This Is What You Need

- Bottle of top or base coat
- Eye shadow (put it in plastic and crush it). I used a loose pigment.
- Small funnel made out of paper

Step 2: This Is How You Do It

It's easy: just add the powdered eye shadow to the bottle using the funnel. Shake it really well. Took me a few minutes of shaking before I got it right. Now polish your nails! You can choose the color you like and you're not throwing away old make-up. The cool thing about using a base coat like I did is that it dries very quickly and a little matte which gives a nice effect.
