Introduction: Custom Revoltech SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob SquarePants Replica 2.0)

Being a huge fan of the Nickelodeon hit TV show since I was 6. I just had to make an accurate representation of SpongeBob SquarePants that I can display in different ways possible as if it was a revoltech figure. I also wanted pants that were removable as well as his underwear, shoes, and socks too.

Note that I do not own the Rights to SpongeBob SquarePants.

Step 1: Plan Out What Your Going to Make

I planned it all out in my drawing pad of what I was going to make. From all of his accessories from season 1 to the film. Certain items I didn't plan out on paper, instead it was done last minute, this includes the reef blower from the first episodes.

Step 2: Look Through All the Reference You Can Find

I'm using the video game character model created by heavy Iron Studios. The developers of 3 spongebob games. Battle for Bikini Bottom, The Movie, and Truth or Square. I've also rounded up some photos from some of the toys and merchandise produced over the years in 3 diemenional format. I also used some model sheets from the show.

Step 3: It's Alive.......!

Step 4: Eye Lids

The eye lids are some kind of squinkie type bubbles cut in half.

Step 5: Arms, Legs, Underwear, Socks, Nose

Step 6:

Step 7: SquirePins I Mean SquarePants

Step 8: "Eye See You!"

Step 9: Shoes

Step 10: Sponge Holes

Step 11: The Figure Is Done, Now to Accessorize

Step 12: A Bendable Tongue to Go Tongue Surfing With

Do you remember when used his tongue to slide down sand mountain in that episode with sandy doing pre hibernation week. How about when he went down slides in the video game: SpongeBob SquarePants Battle For Bikini Bottom, the spongebob SquarePants movie game, and SpongeBob's Truth or Square?

Step 13: Ol Reliable (SpongeBob's Net)

Let's not forget the net that SpongeBob Always uses when he goes jelly fishing with his best pal Patrick.
The white netting part was done from yarn and fabric glue. I used a wooden skewer to create the wooden part. The round net part was created with pieces glued together to form a circle. They are held in by small pieces of staple.
The top part even comes apart like the jelly fishing episode.

Step 14: SpongeBob's Glasses

Step 15: Back Part

Something I found in SpongeBob SquarePants Revenge of the Flying Dutchman

Step 16: A Jellyfish

Step 17: Gary

Step 18: Plankton

Step 19: Karate Gear

Step 20: Different Expressions

Step 21: Krusty Krab Gear

The hat is just a plush toy with a pipe cleaner inside to stick it in spongebob's head. Spat is just sheet metal. The handle of spat is just felt

Step 22: Name Tag

Step 23: Bubbles

Step 24: Teddy Weights

Step 25: Patrick?!
