Introduction: Cute Fabric Flower Necklace

About: I have a passion for animals (dinosaurs too), filming, studying space, writing, maths, music, cooking, gymnastics and many other things! Working at N.A.S.A would be my dream!

In this instructable I will show you how to make a cute fabric flower necklace. This necklace was made within 2 hours with not much needed skills required!
What you will need:
. 2 different fabrics (colour and type of fabric is your choice)
. Fabric scissors
. Needle and Thread
. Ruler
. Flat buttons (1cm)
. Ribbon (similar colour to the fabric)

Step 1: Making the Petals

Cut 5 7cm / 3 inch squares of fabric and then fold 3 times in half as shown on the pictures and the drawing.

Step 2: Stitching the Petals

Stitch each petal together. repeat for all 5 petals.

Step 3: The Centre of the Flower

Cut a round piece of contrasting colour fabric approximately half of the diameter bigger than the button(circle shown on the photos is slightly too big) Stitch the opposite sides making your way around the button as shown on the photos and drawing. The button is now finished. Well done!

Step 4: Joining the Flower

Now you should have 5 petals and the centre of the flower. Join the petals together, please look at the photos too see how the petals follow one direction. Secure the button in the middle. The button will hide the messy centre. Now your basic flower is complete.

Step 5: Joining the Flowers Together

The number of flowers depends on your unique design,I made five flowers.I have joined the second petal of first flower to the fifth petal of second flower with one petal facing up, and two loose down. Two make it more secure I fixed it to a ribbon. The variation in design can make this necklace suitable for any location. White silk fabrics for bridal, black for an evening dress, or just happy casual as shown. Enjoy! Hope you like this instructable.
