Cyclops Looking a Little 'blue'?

Published

Introduction: Cyclops Looking a Little 'blue'?

If you've plugged your little cyclops into a power source that is too large for it (such as an IPad charger) you may be seeing a blue light when you try to turn on your camera.

This is how you fix it!

Step 1: You Will Need:

a cheap soldering iron: you can get them for a couple of quid on Ebay or at B&Q
a little screwdriver: maybe one of the glasses screwdrivers from last years christmas cracker that you've never used?
some solder wire: needs to be suitable for electrical appliances (if it doesn't say it isn't, it probably is fine)

Step 2:

Open the back of the camera carefully

Step 3:

Unscrew the board via the two screws

Step 4:

Carefully remove the board from the body.
Make sure not to lose any of the parts (the front button and the two top button)

Step 5:

Using a soldering iron, solder over the two sides of this resistor, connecting them.

Your camera may flash when it has been done. Try pressing the 'on' button to see if the problem is solved.
