We use a CD spindle case to add as many pencils as possible.

I like that. It reminds me a bit of spirograph drawings.
Not bristlebot, but scibblebot!<br/><br/>If you arrange all three pens <em>absolutely vertically</em>, you will get motion that is less directional, and you won't have to keep nudging it back onto the paper.<br/>
