quadcopter is an unmanned helicopter having four rotors.

quadcoptor is also known as drone that are use to take video ,pictures and also for transportation etc. quadcopter has four motor that choose the direction of copter .

here i will show you easy way to build a quadcopter using cc3d flight controller board (FCB) ,that have easy interface. The quadcoptor are controlled via rc remote .

you can easily build in one day if all required material is present .

Step 1: Requirements

• quadcopter frame
• Brushless motor (4)
• ESC 30A (4)
• cc3d flight controller board
• 10x4.5 inch propeller (4)
• 11.1v lipo battery
• balance charger for lipo battery
• fs-i6 transmitter and receiver
• male female usb connector
• mini B type usb cable

Step 2: Solder ESC and Fit Frame

1.Take a ESC and insert it into one arm of copter and solder it on lower part of frame ,that have power distribution board. do it with all four.

2. Take Screw and fit the arms and motor with help of screw driver .

Step 3: Set the Cc3d and Parts

1. Solder Two wire on the supply side of board.

2.Connect all four esc to the cc3d board's four pins . the sequence of the esc's are shown in picture .make sure signal wire is upper side of board in my case white is signal wire.

3. fix the cc3d board on the frame make sure the usb port on the cc3d facing backward side of copter.

4. fit the upper part of frame .

5.fix esc by tape or as your idea.

6.if you not get deans type of connector then you can remove it and connect the usb connector as shown in picture .

Step 4: Connections

1. Grab the cable comes with cc3d.
2. take a 3 wire connector in the cable.
3. connect the 3 wire connector to receiver's first channel . make sure the signal is inside of transmitter .in my case white is signal wire.
4. now connect all one wire pin to receiver as number of wire, 2 is connected to 2, 3 to 3 and so on.
5. now grab other side of cable and connect it to cc3d.
6. take mini B Type usb cable and connect cc3d to your pc.

Step 5: Download the Software

1. Download The openpilot gcs software from here or for latest version download from Google .
2. install in your pc.

Step 6: Calibration Cc3d by Openpilot : Part 1

1. Open the openpilot software .
2. click on vehicle setup wizard .
3. now it says to remove all propeller and power is disconnected from battery but usb are connected .make sure all done.
4. now click on next .
5. here click on upgrade , it will upgrade the firmware of cc3d .
6. once it done click on next .
7. again next .

Step 7: Calibration Cc3d by Openpilot : Part 2

1. now select PWM . click on next .
2. select multirotor . click on next .
3. select quadcopter X . click on next .
4. select Rapid ESC . click on next .
5. again click on next .
6. now it's gyro calculation , make sure your copter is on stable surface and there is no vibration .
7. click on Calculate .
8. once it done click on next .

Step 8: Calibration Cc3d by Openpilot : Part 3

1. now it's ESC calibration ,make sure all propeller are removed and power are not connected from battery but usb are connected .
2. click on all three blocks then all block get right tick .
3. now click on start .
4. now it will say to connect the battery , so connect the battery .
5. click on stop . it take some time to calibrate .
6. click on next .

Step 9: Calibration Cc3d by Openpilot : Part 4

here is calibration of motor .

1. click on next .
2. here is calibration of first motor .
3. click on start .
4. move slider until motor just start spinning .
5. make sure the direction of motor are same as shown in software .
6. if direction are reverse then change any two phase of motor .
7. once you satisfied, click on stop and click on next .
8. now calibration of second motor , repeat all process that done in first motor .
9. Do this process for all four motor .
10. after fourth next . select DJI F450 and click on next .
11. click on save ,to save all settings.
12. click on next .

Step 10: Calibration Cc3d by Openpilot : Part 5

Here is setup of transmitter and receiver .

1. make sure your transmitter are connected to the receiver .
2. click on transmitter setup wizard .
3. click on OK .
4. click on next .
5. select Acro .
6. click on next .
7. select mode 2 .
8. click on next .
9. now move joy sticks of remote as moving in software .
10. triggering switch are connected to channel 5 so move that switch .
11. click on next/skip .

Step 11: Calibration Cc3d by Openpilot : Part 6

1. now adjust all sticks in center position .
2. click on next .
3. move all joy stick and switch at there maximum position .
4. click on next .
5. here make sure all sticks are moving as same as in software .
6. if any joy stick moving in wrong direction then tick on the block of the name of reverse stick .
7. once you satisfied click on next .
8. now check again all in correct direction as in software .
9. click on next .
10. select YAW Right as arming setting .
11. click on save .

SOFTWARE PART IS DONE...........

Step 12: Propeller Fitting

1. Disconnect power supply from battery and usb cable .
2. Connect power suppy again BUT Not connect usb.
3. connect transmitter from receiver .
4. test the motor are moving properly .
5. disconnect power from battery.
6. fit propeller as direction shown in picture . make sure all propeller is tight .

Step 13: Grate !!!!!!!!! ALL DONE LET's Fly

1. go in to open area or garden .
2. turn on power and connect transmitter .
3. now you can drive quadcopter.
4. first fly at lower hight because flying quadcopter is very hard .it want lots of practice .
5. once you handle it properly you can fly it at hight.

Watch out for these lipos, when charged incorrectly, they can explode, so never leave your charger unattended
