Introduction: DIY Clap Switch 555 Timer
Todays instructable is about How you can make a clap switch
Step by Step Complete Guide
DIY In 6 Minutes
A clap switch has its many important applications some uses for security purposes some uses to control home appliances but i made it simple you can also add a relay to control high power devices .
The circuit i made is tested many others on Internet wont work i tried so many but this one is working fine.
A simple 555 used in monostable mode when the clap sound is detected by Mic it HIGH the input signal due to which the output of the 555 timer triggered .But due to its monostable state it again backs to its initial state by discharging through a electrolytic capacitor
You can adjust the capacitor value for how much time the switched should be ON and OFF by applying different types of electrolytic capacitors note a 10uf discharges fast compared to 47uf
